Tip Tuesday

Recently I bought several vintage rubber stamps.  Some were hard and dried out but I have a tip for you that can salvage and make them usable again.  Take glycerin that you purchase at the pharmacy of any drug store and pour just enough to cover the bottom of a pan or dish.  Place your stamps, rubber down, in the solution and let sit for a couple of days or longer if needed.  The glycerin will plump the rubber stamps and most times restore them to their original condition.  Clean the stamps with stamp cleaner and start creating!  People who restore cars use glycerin to repair dried rubber gaskets but it works great for rubber stamps!
